This is a very cool set of Techni-Lux Shooter fixtures. Units are the same except different lenses on the front. The different lenses create a different type of beam from the unit. Both units feature a constantly rotating dichoric color wheel and a double sided mirror that rotates to the beat of the music via an internal microphone. The output is very fast flashing colored beams of light projected from the front of the fixture. These units need a little TLC as one has rust on the front an the other has a blown (Melted) transformer. Units made in China.
Very cool classic strobe unit from Tropp Lite. This strobe is easily controllable from any 0 - 10 volt signal source to make the pulsations faster or slower. There is an optional reflector (that can be removed) to direct the light installed on this unit. Great light! Made here in the US.
Classic unit from the early 80's. This is one of the first bubble machines ever produced. Made by ICE it features a special coating on the blades of the unit to produce tons of bubbles. When the machine is energized the fan at the rear of the unit turns on and the plastic blades rotate on the front of the unit. As the blades rotate they dip into a tray of bubble solution so once the bubbles solution hits the air from the fan the shoot out of the front of the unit. Great effect. Unit made in England.
The official knockoff of the Martin Rainbow unit. This classic unit from American DJ is a direct copy of the famous Martin Rainbow. Unit has the same output using the same bulb, similar dichoric mirror dish and even mounts the fan on the side of the unit in the same way Martin does. Output is a tunnel of multi-colored light that moves to the beat of the music. It is actually a decent unit. When I received it the fixture was missing the lid. I had an old Martin Rainbow that was broken and being used for parts and guess what? I took the lid from the scrap unit and the lid fits perfectly! Just a bit longer than what it needs to be. I plan to trim it at some point in the future. Unit made in Taiwan.
Interesting light from Elation. This is a EL-1605 Gobo-Squeeze unit. Unit uses a 24 volt, 250 watt ELC bulb that shoots through a gobo wheel. The gobo wheel rotates to the next position about every 8 - 10 seconds. The light then goes through a stationary convex lens then through an adjustable focus lens. The light is then emitted onto a rubber dish that rotates as well as expands and contracts. On the rubber dish there are a bunch of small dichoric mirrors that reflect the light and produce the output. The rubber dish reacts to the music via an internal microphone making the beams dance to the beat of sounds. The rubber dish was repaired as you can see the silicone where the dichoric mirrors ad to be re-attached. Unit made in Taiwan.
