ProgramSistem Saturno 8 Helicopter

Another great one from ProgramSistem!  This is the Saturno 8 head helicopter unit.  I was fortunate to locate a one time demo unit in the original packaging!  This is a great compact unit that features 8 x 6 volt, 30 watt GE 4515 lamps powered by a super high quality 48 volt transformer.  Quite simple design.  Just plug it in and it spins the bulbs at a medium speed.  Each lamp head is completely adjustable on 2 axis's.  Rare unit to locate nowadays.  Unit made in Italy.

Another great one from ProgramSistem!  This is the Saturno 4 head helicopter unit.  I was fortunate to locate a brand new unit in the original packaging!  This is a great compact unit that features 4 x 6 volt, 30 watt GE 4515 lamps powered by a super high quality transformer.  Quite simple design.  Just plug it in and it spins the bulbs at a medium speed.  Each lamp head is completely adjustable on 2 axis's.  Rare unit to locate nowadays.  Unit made in Italy.    

Sapro MS-10 Helicopter Units

Classic helicopter units from Sapro!  These are the MS-10 units that feature 10 X 12 volt 4405 par 36 - 30 watt bulbs.  The bulbs are all wired in series to create the 120 volts needed for operation.  Unfortunately with the wiring if 1 bulb goes out they all go out.  I am planning on adding neon indicator fault lamps in the future to make trouble shooting the lamps easier.  The units rotate at 30 RPM by a common Dayton motor.  This creates an awesome spectacle of spinning light.  Gels can be added for coloration.  Great units made in France!

Tri Lite LR-4 Helicopter Units

Cool helicopter units from Tri Lite (Tripp Lite).  These are the LR-4 units that feature 4 x 6 volt, 30 watt GE 4515 bulbs mounted on a rotating metal plate.  Located on the plate are 4 separate adjustable  heads that allow many angles and positions of the bulbs.  The heads rotate at the same speed as a Mark XII beacon (Approximately 40 RPM) as they use the same base plate and motor / belt assembly.  These classic units are tough and will run almost forever.  Great units made in the US.
