ETA Systems Fluorostrobe Unit

 

Super unique unit from ETA Systems.  This is the Fluorostrobe unit that uses a standard 4 foot 40 watt Philips flourescent tube and changes the output from a standard blacklight to a blacklight strobe light.  The unit can also run as a standard blacklight if desired.  There is a selector switch that puts the light into strobe mode and an adjustment knob for the flash rate.  These were produced in the 90's and I do not think many were produced.  Unit is made very well with thick gauge metal and acrylic front protector.  Great unit made in the US!  

Programmi Sistemi Luce Black Lantern Black Light

Great compact black light projector from Programmi Sistemi Luce.  This is the black lantern version that features a central Osram Power Star HQI 95 volt, 150 watt discharge bulb mounted in a reflector assembly.  The assembly focuses the beam in one direction so it can project out of the front of the fixture.  Before the light emits from the fixture it passes through a dichoric glass filter that has been colored to the black light spectrum of light.  This is how the effect is produced.  Unit is fan cooled and built like a tank!  Amazing how they fit unit the ballast, power transformer, ignitor, fan lamp and other components into such a small unit.  Awesome unit made in Italy.
