Meteor Super Liteflower Units

Classic moonflower units from Meteor!  These are the Super Liteflower units that features a central 12 volt, 100 watt FCR capsule lamp as the light source.  The bulb sits in the top part of the unit and does not have a cooling fan but rather a thermostat has been installed to prevent overheating.  The top head also features a rotating mirror dish that is triggered from an audio source that can be connected to the unit via RCA connectors on the rear of the base assembly.  Also located in the base are the PCB's that control the unit and also the transformer and oscillator motor.  Thu oscillator feature is a bit strange as it only moves back and forth a small amount.  Not 90 or 120 degrees light many of the other units.  Located on the front is an additional motor where an optional color wheel can be connected.  Currently these are running without the wheels.  Unique units made in the US. 

Superstar Lighting SL-P5W-1

Great unit from Superstar Lighting.  This is the SL-P5W-1 unit that is similar to the PSL Randomscan unit.  This is a bit more primitive and lower power.  The fixture has 4 X 12 volt, 50 watt MR16 units that can be used with or without gobos to produce the beam effect. The light shoots through the gobo, then through a color filter and lens assembly then finally onto a rotating mirror assembly.  Each of the 4 mirrors are sound active so when the beat of the music is heard by the unit the mirror motors respond with rotation.  Great unit made in Taiwan.

Teclumen / Easylight Super Twist HTI 150

Awesome high power moonflower effect from Teclumen / EasyLight.  This is the Super Twist duo  HTI 150 unit that features 2 x central 90 volt, 150 watt HTI discharge lamps that are mounted in the center of the unit.  Behind the bulbs are multi-color dichoric dishes with a super high quality Micromotors attached to them.  The motors are sound active and triggered from a PCB mounted on the bottom of the unit.  The light projects from the bulb then off the dichoric dish.  From there it focuses through a convex lens and then finally onto a set of sound active rotating mirrors.  The mirrors rotation is triggered from a separate PCB mounted on the top of the unit.  The output is colorful beams of light that spin and scan around the room.  Having separate PCB's makes a better effect as the motors will trigger differently rather than everything moving at the same time in sequence.  

This unit has a set of blackout dousers mounted between the main body and the scan heads.  The dousers are triggered from a 0 - 10 volt analogue source.  When activated a stepper motor moves 2 aluminum shutters blocking the output light.  

There is a smaller version named the uno unit which is similar but has a single output and also another double version like this one but featuring dual halogen lamps.  Super high quality unit made in Italy.
