LyteQuest Radiator

Very nice unit from LyteQuest. This model is the Radiator. The fixture has a standard 120 volt, 300 watt 64515 bulb placed in front of a special dichoric dish assembly. The dichoric dish is stationary and has a special solid metal dish with slits cut into it that rotates in front of the mirrored dish. This allows only some of the light to be reflected from the dish at any given time. The light emits out of the front of the unit making a strobing line of light. Unit made in Taiwan.

American DJ SunRay S-150D Arc Lamp Ball

Many companies produced and still produce the rotating ball effect seen here. This fixture made by American DJ is the only high power unit that I have seen in this style. The only difference is this unit uses a high power Osram HTI 95 volt, 152 watt discharge (Arc) lamp. The output is stunning, vibrant colors since the lamp has perfect color temperature. The unit rotates at 6 RPM. Unit made in China.

f.a.l. Gobo-Twin PF 590 Unit

Small compact scanning system from f.a.l. This system uses 2 X 120 Volt, 250 watt ENH bulbs that produce the light for the unit. The beams go through a set of adjustable dichro/gobos then through a set of convex lenses finally out onto the dual rotating mirrors. The mirrors move at a constant slow rate to make the effect. Each mirror is adjustable to make the effect scan slow or fast across the room. Unit made in Italy.

Nisel Stratus-S UFO Unit

Yet another classic unit from Nisel. This is a Stratus-S UFO fixture. The unit is very compact and much smaller than typical units. The base contains a 30 RPM rotator and step-down transformer for the bulb. The single arm has a 5 RPM tumble motor with a 30 RPM motor to rotate the glass pyramid. All motors are high quality Crouzet brand. The bulb is a tiny 12 volt, 75 watt MR16 type bulb. This unit has only 1 circuit for operation, but by looking at the internal wiring I think they can be separated for independent control. Maybe a project for the future?? This unit has just been restored as it was in very bad condition when received. New paint, belt and wiring were needed to get the beauty back to life! Unit made in Italy.

Unique unit from LyteQuest. This is a Kamala unit. It looks like the common derby style light, but has 3 linear 120 volt, 300 watt lamps that rotate to the beat of the music. Stunning output and super bright! Unit is pretty large due to the 3 sets of lenses across the front. Made in China.
