Programmi Sistemi Luce (PSL) Hypnotic HQI Projector

Very unique light effect from PSL.  This is the Hypnotic HQI projector.  The unit features a Osram Power Star HQI 95 volt, 150 watt discharge bulb mounted in a reflector assembly.  This focuses the beam into a manageable cone of light.  The beam projects through an adjustable speed dichoric wheel and then through a special bundle of fiber optics.  The 2 pieces are controlled from the same motor and rotate opposite each other.  This is how the effect is made.  There is a adjustable focusing lens on the front so you can have the effect crisp or more of a wash.  The effect is very cool.  The speed and direction are controlled on the rear of the unit with a knob and switch.  Great unit made in Italy

NESS Feeler Unit

This is the NESS Feeler unit.  Almost the same as the Studio Due Duet 400 but a bit lower quality.  Unit features a common 120 volt, 300 Watt 64514 lamp mounted in the center of the chassis.  A color wheel is mounted around the lamp unit.  The light emits from 2 large convex lenses mounted 180 degrees from each other and hits a set of mirrored dishes.  Each dish has 2 motors. 1 motor rotates the dish and the other tilts the dish.  The entire unit is sound active or 0 - 10 volt analogue.  All motors are wired together on 1 circuit so as they are triggered the color wheel and dish motors react at the same time.  Fan cooled and pretty large unit made in Taiwan. 

Programmi Sistemi Luce (PSL) Lone Star Units

Great classic moonflower units from PSL!  These are the Lone Star units.  Each unit features a 24 volt, 150 watt FCS capsule bulb that is mounted in front of a mirrored dish assembly.  The mirror dish assembly rotates to the beat of the music via a sound circuit installed in the unit.  The output is tons of beams of light that move all around the room.  In addition there are also colored acrylic color wheels that mount on the front part of the units.  The wheels rotate at around 5 - 6 RPM making the beams change from white to yellow to red to green.  The rotation motors for the wheels run constantly.  If 1 color is desired the motor can be unhooked or if just white is needed the wheels can be removed all together.  Unfortunately these units were in bad condition when they arrived.  The color wheels all were cracked and the circuitry had to be repaired.  Also one of the front motors was dead.  A little time and effort got these back up and running.  The units are very similar to the Martin Ministar units as they had a similar external color wheel attachment and output.  Great units made in Italy.
