Programmi Sistemi Luce Rotostar

Video of PSL Programmi Sistemi Luce Rotostar Unit

Another super Italian light piece.  This is a Programmi Sistemi Luce Rotostar. Awesome light that puts out an awesome light show. Unit has 6, 13 volt - 100 watt 4509 General Electric ACL lamps on the perimeter of the unit that each have a motor on them. The motors move the bulbs towards the rotating mirror drum in the center and also outwards creating a super high-tech helicopter like effect. The motors react to the beat of the music via microphone in the center of the unit. There is also an adjustment knob for the sensitivity of the motor triggers. The mirror drum in the center rotates at a constant speed (about 30 RPM), ant the entire unit spins at a constant rate (about 20 RPM). Fixture has 2 circuits. 1 for the main motor and 1 for the bulbs, rotating drum & bulb motors. Unit made in Italy. This unit is for sale!!

Programmi Sistemi Luce Logoscan

Really cool compact light! This is a Programmi Sistemi Luce Logoscan unit. Unit uses a 12 volt, 100 watt EFP bulb that projects through a large gobo wheel with 20 different gobos on it (Some colored with dichoric glass). The gobo wheel changes at a slow intermittent pace (about every 15 seconds). The light then bounces off of a constantly rotating mirror dish through a large convex lens and onto the exterior mirror. The mirror rotates to the beat of the music via an internal microphone. The output is a great! Fixture has 3 motors. 1 for the rotating mirror dish, 1 for the mirror motor & 1 for the gobo wheel. Unit made in Italy.

Coemar Comet 36

This thing is HUGE!! Very rare Coemar 36 rolling box light. Unit has 36 Par 36, 6 volt 30 watt lamps set on a large fiberglass shell. The fiberglass is metallic silver speckles in it which is an added cool look. Fixture also has 36 neon lamp indicators which illuminate when a bulb goes out. This unit come out of a roller skating rink and was super dirty and caked with 25+ years of smoke stains and grime. It took a while to tear it down and clean, but the end effect is great!! Unit was gelled with various colors, but were removed and discarded when the unit was cleaned. They were burnt and flaking apart. Unit is 220 volt and has 3 separate circuits for operation. 1 for the lamps and 1 for each rotation motor (unit has 2). Coemar made 2 versions of this unit (1 is a smaller 16 lamp unit and this is the larger 36 lamp version). Unit made in Italy. This unit is currently for sale!!

Clay Paky Astroraggi Classic Discharge Lamp Version

One of the original and classic effects found in many clubs. This effect was copied by many, but this is the original. This is a Clay Paky Astroraggi. Clay Paky made a few different versions of this unit such as the dual and power. This unit is the classic discharge version that uses a 250 watt MSD discharge arc lamp in the center. The standard version used a 24 volt, 150 watt halogen FCS bulb ans the discharge bulb version was an upgraded option.  The unit then has a rotating dome over the lamp that rotates at a high speed. The effect is flashing bright beams of light coming out of random lenses on the unit. Unit has 2 separate circuits. 1 for the lamp and 1 for the rotation motor. Unit made in Italy.
