American DJ Zodiac

16 large multi-color front lenses define this unique piece. The American DJ Zodiac uses a 120 volt, 300 watt linear bulb that rotates on a large base with metal petals on it. This diffuses the light and makes it softer. The unit has been modified from the original factory settings. The lamp assembly has been changed out. The original lamps are 5 X 24 volt, 100 watt 64638 bulbs. Unit is sound active via an internal microphone which makes the lamp base rotate to the beat of the music. Unit made in Taiwan.

  1. I've had an ADJ Zodiac since 2005. I got it off eBay in rather rough shape and spent about a month restoring it. Mine is significantly different than the one you listed above. It has 5 100W24V bulbs in it, wired in series. It's identical to the Jedi (which is like a centerpiece version of the Zodiac) in that regard. It is NOT a sublte light. The five bulbs spin on a wide platter and produce an almost strobing effect out of the lenses.

I'm guessing your version with the single 100W bulb and reflector is a later iteration of the model?

  2. Hello,
Looking closer at the label and the light it looks like my unit has been modified. I guess the original owner changed out the lamp base asembly to make it what it is currently. This is how I recieved it. Thanks for pointing out the difference. I updated the description.
    Thanks!
