American DJ Barrel Ray Unit

One of the original rotating mirror drum units!! Before all of the common mirrored drum units you see today there was these primitive units produced. This is circa 1993 classic!! The unit has a common 12 volt, 100 watt EFP projection bulb at the rear that projects through a dichoric 12 position color wheel and a single convex lens then onto the drum. The color wheel can be turned on and off by the switch on the rear of the unit. The mirrored drum and the color wheel are sound active on this unit. Great output and very rare unit!! Another treasure that was still new in the box!! Unit was produced here in the US!!

Martin Synchrozap QX250

Awesome light from Martin!! This is a Synchrozap QX250 unit. The fixture features a MSD250 arc lamp at the rear of the unit that shoots through a special beam funnel that focuses through the gobo wheel then into a convex lens. The beam then goes through a dichroric wheel and another convex lens. The final output is split through a set of mirrors then onto the set of rotating mirrored drums. The drums are offset a little so as the beams move from left to right they also move up and down. Unit uses 6 channels of DMX or Martin Protocol. Channel 1 is for the lamp strike / Shutter commands. Channel 2 is for the color wheel and channel 3 is for the gobo wheel. Channels 4 and 5 are for the mirror drums and channel 6 activates the sound to motion and synchronization of the mirror drums. Unit has 6 motors. 1 for the cooling fan and 5 steppers for the color wheel, gobo wheel, shutter and each mirror drum. Unit is built like a tank and weighs quite a bit. Unit made in Denmark.

Lampo Frullo Unit (Flat Beam Version)

This is a rare Lampo Frullo (Flat Beam Version) rotating mirror drum light. Unit has an single 120 volt, 500 watt FDF linear bulb that is in the center of the unit. The light emits through a special box with rectangular slots cut into it. Once the light goes out of the box it is projected out 4 rectangle convex lenses at the end of the central unit. From there the light reflects off 1 of the 4 rotating mirror drums. The unit has 2 separate control units inside the base. The heads that are located across from each other are controlled together. Each set responds to different frequencies and rotates at different speeds for a wild effect! Unit comes white (clear), but can be gelled for desired color. Another unit from the DJ Series from Martin. This is a Wheeler unit that has a very cool output. The unit has a 300 watt, 120 volt 64515 halogen bulb in the center with a 4 dichro color wheel surrounding it. The light emits out from 4 lenses onto 4 rotating mirror drums that are off center. Unit also has 4 stationary mirrors in the center for added effect. Unit can be operated in 3 modes. Mode 1 is bulb on constantly and mirrors & color wheel reacting to the beat of the music. Mode 2 is the same as 1 but the bulb flashes as well to the beat of the music. Mode 3 is fan only. This is used at the end of the night to cool the unit down. Unit has 6 motors. 4 for the mirror drums, 1 for the color wheel and 1 for the cooling fan. Interesting note on this unit; the mirror drums are polished aluminum and not the usual glass. This makes them lighter and not as fragile. Unit made in Denmark.
