PSL (Programmi Sistemi Luce) Rot8tor Effect Unit

Another amazing effect from PSL!!  This is the Rot8tor unit that is very similar to the PSL Stress unit but adds a couple of additional features.  This unit uses a 24 volt, 250 watt ELC lamp housed in a very well designed access panel in the front of the unit.  The light projects through a focusing (shrinking) metal cutout then through 20 different gobos (on a rotating wheel).  The light then hits a special ring of dichoric glass pieces.  The dichoric glass pieces are mounted on a special assembly that rotates and expands / contracts.  The light then exits the unit through the front through a large convex lens.  The effect produces is multiple colored beams / images that rotate and expand / contract to the beat of music.  A total of 4 motors are in this unit.  1 for the gobo wheel, 1 for the rotation, 1 for the expanding / contracting function and 1 for the DC cooling fan.  A truly spectacular effect!  Super high quality unit from Italy!
