Optikinetics Solar 250 Classic Projector Units

Classic units from Optikinetics!  These are the Solar 250 projectors.  These are the classic versions from the 80's.  Optikinetics still manufactures these units but in a much more updated sleek looking model.  Each unit features a central 24 volt, 250 watt EHJ capsule bulb that projects through a set of focusing convex lenses  then out to a final focusing lens.  The unis is just a raw projector but the magic comes from the attachments you add to the fixture.  There a tons of different optional effects such as color wheels, graphic wheels, effect wheels, psychedelic cassettes, sound animators, wheel rotators, cassette rotators, prism lenses, prism rotators / spinners, mirrors and many other similar effects.  These get mounted in the slot between lenses or on the front of the unit.  Multiple effects can be used in conjunction at the same time for some truly spectacular light effects.  The units are fan cooled and have a thermal trip cutoff in cased the units get too hot.  Very cool units made in England.

Kremesa CR-360/S Spinner Units

Classic spinners from Kremesa.  These are the CR-360/S units that come in 2 versions.  Version MK1 features a standard 12 volt, 100 watt Par 56 GE 4545 lamp mounted on a metal cup.  This version has a single power cord and only 1 circuit for operation.  The MK2 version features a Spotlux housing with a 12 volt, 100 watt Philips 7724 EVA capsule bulb and separate power cords for motor and lamp circuits.  Both versions have the same output power and look the same when running.  Rotation is provided from a very high quality Kelvin A/C motor.  Great units made in Spain.

Satel Kum / Gemini Unit Chrome Version

This is the larger of the 2 Kum units made by Satel. This is the Kum (Full Size - Chrome Version) light effect.  Satel  also made a smaller unit named the Baby Kum which has a single head and a central 150 watt light source. This unit features 20 - 12 volt, 35 watt AR111 PAR 36 lamps (10 on each side). You can also use standard glass 12 volt, 30 watt sealed beam lamps, but I prefer the AR111 lamps because they are lighter and have a much longer life expectancy. The unit is comprised of the large light unit and a dedicated controller. The controller features a switch to turn on the lamps, the AC motor (Which spins the 2 heads in opposite directions) and the DC motor (Which controls the main rotation of the entire unit). The DC motor also has a speed adjustment know so you can control how fast the main unit rotates. Both motors are very high quality and made from Crouzet of France. These units were available in black and chrome originally when manufactured.  I have another unit that was originally chrome but was in really bad condition when it arrived so that one was refinished to black.  Here is a link to that unit:  Satel Kum - Black Version  I am happy to have this chrome version as it is hard to find one of these that has survived from the 80's and still looks good.  Unit made in Spain.
