F.A.L. Skorpion PF 410

This is a F.A.L. Skorpion static projection fixture. Unit has a stunning output. Unit has a 120 volt, 420 watt EKB, but typically has a 120 volt, 1,000 watt T11 lamp at the rear of the unit which produces 8 large shafts of light out of the front of the unit. Unit can be colored by using gels. There is also a 800 watt Roundlux unit that uses a different bulb for a tunnel type of beam produced from the unit.  Thanks to George for the info on this unit! Fixture made in Italy.

American DJ Phaser

One of the older, but unique lights from American DJ. I'm not sure who made this unit for them but is very cool! Unit has 2- 24 volt, 250 watt EVC bulbs that project 2 half-moon tunnels of light in opposite directions. Fixture is sound active via an internal microphone with an adjustable sensitivity knob. Unit comes in white, but this one was gelled with red and blue. I do not know where this unit was made or who made it. If you know, please contact me or post it on here. This unit is currently for sale!!

Martin Rainbow 2

One of the classics! This is a Martin Rainbow 2 light effect. Unit projects a rotating tunnel of multi-color light that moves to the music. Unit uses a 24 volt, 250 watt EVC bulb and features 2 motors. 1 for the rotation of the dichoric mirror dish and 1 for the cooling fan. Unit weighs a bit because of the large transformer used to step down the voltage for the bulb. Unit made in Denmark.

Programmi Sistemi Luce Star Craft

Very large and cool unit. This is a Programmi Sistemi Luce Star Craft. The unit has 9 - 50 watt, 12 volt Halo-Star lamps on a large saucer. The saucer rotates at about 20 RPM with each individual bulb moving in and out to the sound of the music. The sound is triggered from a microphone in the center of the saucer and features a sensitivity knob. Each lamp has its own motor and the unit comes with a ton of pre-programed programs for a really cool light show. Unit is bulky and heavy, but worth it for the effect. Unit has 2 separate circuits. 1 for the saucer and 1 for the lamps and lamp motors. Fixture made in Italy.

Techni-Lux Alpha

This is a Techni-Lux Alpha unit. Unit has a 24 volt, 250 watt EVC bulb in the center of the unit. The beam projects out through 8 lenses with color filters behind them onto 8 rotating mirror drums. The mirrored drums rotate to the beat of the music via an internal microphone. The unit can also be controlled from a 0 - 10 volt analogue signal through a 1/4" plug on the rear of the unit. Unit has 9 motors. 8 for the mirrored drums and 1 for the cooling fan. Unit is made in China. Unit is currently for sale!!

Show Pro Whiz

A complete, self-contained light show! This is a Show Pro Whiz unit. It is a primitive intelligent light with 2 parts. Part 1 is the controller and part 2 is the actual light unit. This is how the unit works. Inside the light unit there is an internal microphone that is controlled by 2 sensitivity and speed knobs. This triggers the 4 motors that are connected to the mirrors. Each mirror moves to the beat of the music. Under the mirrors are 4 - 250 watt, 120 volt ENH bulbs that project through fixed gobos, color filters then out of a convex lens. The lights are controlled from the external controller. A special 5 pin cable connects the 2 units together. Controller has a bunch of functions such as blackout, full on, chase, etc. with adjustments for audio and speed. Unit has an internal microphone for audio pick up. Unit is a little bulky, but does a cool light show. Fixture has 5 motors. 4 for the mirror rotators and 1 for the cooling fan. Unit is made in the United States.
