I've used in them at school dances and in a band I was part of all during high school and they do throw the light great. They are even better with fog in tighter rooms. Yours has a cooling fan feature I've never seen before and looks a little older than mine, but they are pretty much the same! <br /><br />The older Mark 12s when they were Tripp Lites had the round bulb-holding plates and they had the capacity for 4 par 46 bulbs to be placed in the beacon. Of course, I hear those were a pain to change bulbs out on versus the C-channel bulb holder the Mark 12 currently uses now. Still the biggest beacons to get out there, and well worth it too! J.
